we are spending christmas and new year in auckland with my mum, dad and brother. we had a fairly quiet day on christmas day, eating lots and opening lots of presents for james :) he of course, much prefered the wrapping paper.

i just thought that some of you won't have seen our (new) house.

we bought a car this week - as bob finishes at apn on wednesday and with it goes the car - so i'll try and put a picture of that up too, and some photos of the garden when the sun is shining.

our computer is down! we will hopefully get it fixed this week. but we have been up in auckland for a friend's leaving do - Paul is off to central america. needless to say the thought of hedonism in utila has made me more than jealous. we also went to the chamber of commerce 150th anniversary black tie dinner, which was fun - bob in tux and all.

we are going to swimming lessons every friday, in a private pool with some mums and bubs from our antenatal class. i think i enjoy it more than james, who is a little confused by the whole thing, and by bobby, who's concerned i might slip and accidently dunk the wee man.

it's great fun though, and james is learning to hold his breath under the water. he's also pretty good at shutting his eyes, kicking and splashing. ooh ahh.
